Mental Health Clinician

Master's Degree Required

Master's level clinical position available for Family Mental Health Counselors in the Pinellas Child Welfare Program covering the St. Petersburg, FL area. The office for this position is in Largo, FL.

Clinician needed to provide home based counseling services to children and their families. The Family Counselor will complete in-depth family assessments, provide crisis intervention and therapeutic services to at risk families. Identified risk factors may be related to child abuse and neglect, substance abuse, domestic violence and mental illness. Services are provided in the family home. We offer health benefits and generous paid time off.

This is not a telehealth position.

Job Requirements:

  • Therapists must have a minimum of a Master's Degree in counseling, social work or related field. Working towards your Florida License (LMHC, LMFT or LCSW) is required, must be registered as intern or verified license eligible. Clinical supervision for licensure is provided.

  • At least two (2) years of experience working with the at-risk population to include families experiencing substance abuse matters, domestic violence, mental health, and emotionally disturbed. Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) preferred.

  • All clinicians must be comfortable utilizing technology for documentation.

  • This position is paperwork intensive with strict timelines. Excellent writing and strong organizational skills are necessary.

 

Must have a high level of energy, be adaptable to irregular hours, be flexible, and be able to travel throughout Pinellas County.

CBHA Assessor

Positions available for Comprehensive Behavioral Health Assessors in Tampa Area

Experienced clinicians needed to completed Comprehensive Behavioral Health Assessments for children who have entered foster care. Part time or full time positions are available.

Job Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in counseling, social work or related field

  • Florida License (LMHC, LMFT or LCSW) or license eligible

  • Minimum of five years (two if licensed), full-time experience working directly with children and families, who are victims of abuse or neglect, or with youth who have been adjudicated delinquent, committed to DJJ, and who are emotionally disturbed

  • Minimum of two years experience working with foster parents

  • Applicants must be familiar with current Diagnostic Manuals

  • Access to a computer

  • Stable transportation
