CBHAs
Comprehensive Behavioral Health Assessments
In this program, we have contract assessors and a part-time supervisor that completes Comprehensive Behavioral Health Assessments (CBHA) for Pinellas, Pasco, and Hillsborough counties. A CBHA is referred for any child who is a victim of abuse, neglect or abandonment and placed into shelter care. Also, a child may be in foster care and experiencing a serious emotional disturbance. A CBHA is meant to integrate historical information, previous evaluations and testing, opinions and all observations made in order to make recommendations for permanency planning and services, which are in the best interest of the child. This assessment will also provide a diagnosis based on all collateral information, interviews, and the assessor’s evaluation of the child.
