GROUPS AND CLASSES
Adoption Support Group
Post adoption support groups are held each quarter. This group is for parents whose adoptions have been finalized and is free of charge. Groups will be held in person or via Zoom. Dates/times vary. This is a space for parents build a network and chat with one another about the joys and challenges they are having with the children. Please feel free to seek support, ask questions, offer ideas, share good news and resources and be a source of praise, empathy and encouragement for each other. Parenting Classes
Parenting the Love & Logic Way® classes provides practical tools and techniques that help adults achieve respectful, healthy relationships with their children and help them prepare their kids for the real world. This parenting program is designed to give parents practical skills that can be used immediately, such as strategies for:

Putting an end to arguing, back talk and begging

Teaching responsibility

Setting limits

Avoiding power struggles
-
Guiding kids to own and solve their problems

Teaching kids to complete chores without reminders and without pay
A workbook will be provided to each parent participating in the Parenting the Love & Logic Way® class. Participants are expected to attend all sessions and practice the skills they are learning.
